Staff Research Associate

Sameerah Collins earned her Bachelors of Science in Public Relations from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Ga. After obtaining her degree, she worked for Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, GA where she served in an administrative and business operations capacity until she relocated to Los Angeles in 2018. Sameerah is working to complete her Masters of Science in Strategic Communication from Purdue University with an interest in intercultural and corporate communications.

Currently, Sameerah is an administrative specialist at the UCLA Center for Health Services and Society where she provides administrative and project support to Dr. Kenneth Wells and Dr. Jeanne Miranda. Sameerah also co-manages the UCLA HSS social media platforms. In addition to her role, Sameerah collaborates with Dr. Kia Skrine Jeffers on a California Arts Grant initiative that funds an original theatre production to destigmatize mental illness among African Americans.
